Divetally Privacy Policy
Effective 27 October 2026 · Applies to the Divetally Android app.
The short version
Divetally keeps your dive log on your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell or share any of your data — including your dives, your name, your sites, your equipment or your buddies. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no server.
What the app stores, and where
- Your log — dives, sites, equipment, certifications, buddies and notes — in a private database on your device, readable only by Divetally.
- Your settings — display name, unit system, remembered purchase state — in private device storage.
- Exports you create — JSON and CSV backups and PDF print packs are written to the app's own cache only when you tap export, and handed to the app you choose (email, drive, files) through Android's standard share. Nothing is uploaded by us.
Backups and exports are yours: keep them anywhere you like. Deleting the app deletes the log — export first.
Network access
Divetally works entirely offline. The app requests the INTERNET permission solely because Google Play Billing requires it: when you buy Divetally Pro or restore a purchase, Google Play processes that payment under Google's own privacy policy. We never see your payment details, and no dive data ever leaves the device.
Purchases
Divetally Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Google Play. The app stores a remembered "Pro" flag on the device so it keeps working without a signal; Google Play's records are the authority.
Children
Divetally is intended for adult divers (18+) and is rated Everyone on content, with mature-adjacent material absent. We knowingly collect no data from anyone of any age.
Permissions
INTERNET (for Play Billing only). No location, no camera, no microphone, no storage, no contacts.
Changes and contact
Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the app listing. Questions: fbirele@gmail.com. Loadcircle Ltd, England and Wales.
